Really!

we celebrated!

great grandma was there. so happy she lives so close.

she got a kick out of the dsi

so grateful
so happy

then, this morning, when i was cleaning up the crazy, messy, not sure what to call it room,
i put these aside.
and as i was cleaning up, out of the corner of my eye,
i saw the pile of shoes
(that i had just put aside)
i starting to tear up.
like i am right now.
really, these are too small, really?
she says, mama-these are to tight.
REALLY?
you're sweet little foot has grown again
in a blink of an eye.
REALLY?

maybe its the country music playing in the background that has me emotional.
ya think?

ps. mama loves shoes, so i don't mind buying her a few more

So hard to believe.... I know how it just clicks that they are growing up. Mine was the Princess dresses. Yours... shoes. She is becoming such a big girl. Just precious. When are we going shoe shopping??? :)

I know the feeling. My kids are on the same growth cycle, so I just replaced all their shoes at once. It's fun though! This mama loves shoe shopping too.

happy birthday to your sweet little pea!

for me it's jammies. knowing that their little snuggly selves have outgrown them gets me a teary eyed.

sweet (bittersweet?) post. yes they grow so fast!! saw a friend @ a soccer game last nite & she said, that wasn't your daughter that said "hey Mom" to you was it? how tall is she? Ummm, yes that's my daughter and she is at least 5"4'' (12 years old) and I had that little pit in my tummy when I realized how FAST she has grown. I won't even tell you that she wears a 9 1/2 shoe!! love the gg pics!priceless

I know. Can't they just slow down a bit. My big girl is to my chin. Now, that's scary!

I know, it is sad when you feel like it is just flying by and you can't slow it down!!

My girls are growing out of thir shoes everytime I turn around. But I also love shoe shopping so that part is ok.

Ahhh, what a wonderful celebration...even if it ended with needing a new pair (or more) of shoes.
