A Little Family Time

We were able to get away for a few days.
We stayed in an old cabin, as you walked into the kitchen it seemed to slant.
Loved it.
Incredible fire, nightly.
Enough snow to play in.
It was perfect.

this is her signature look when she is out of her mind with excitement.
it's what i always say,

We are Thankful

We have many things to be thankful for in this family.
So, one night I tore a piece of card stock into pieces and gave some to each of the family members.
We sat down together and wrote what we were thankful for.
And put them up, to remind us.

Have a wonderful Monday.
They are one of my most favorite days.

Movie Night - Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3.
Target Popcorn, sprinkled with a few m&m's.
Outdoors.
15+ kids.
Beach chairs.
Blankets.
and friends.

Oh, Reindeer Heads & Elf heads too.

what does that equal, good times for sure!

We started the summer of 2009.
We had so much fun.
It was warm.
The kids came in there pj's.
It was a night to remember for sure.
Hannah Montana, The Movie.
And the cool thing was that all the kids knew
the songs. So when one came on they all sung together.
Super fun.

This year summer came and went and we didn't get a chance
to have movie night.
But we knew we wanted to do it every year,
so why not in November.
It wasn't raining. Cold, yah, but not to bad.
They all came in warm clothes, beach chairs, and blankets.
It was perfect.
They kids were so great.
Couldn't have asked for a better night.
Well, we were missing a few of our favorite
friends, but we are already planning another for them.

patient kids waiting for the night to begin.
one a little bummed that most of her girlies were out of town.

kids coloring their mask
end result, too cute.

target popcorn.
perfect!

let the movie begin

Such a great night.
Friends together.
Making memories.
Isn't that what it's all about?

Thanks to all who came.
Even ones that had school the next day.

Teacher Special at SoSoBella Designs

We love our teachers.
They put in so much extra work.
They truly care about our kids.
And for this I am grateful.
So today, SoSoBella Designs is offering this necklace to all teachers.
And if you are purchasing for a teacher, you get the special too.

So hop over, right here and show your appreciation to your teachers. Feel free to have wording on there instead of names.

And we are giving one away too.
Leave us a comment and let us know what you remember about your favorite teacher. What was it that made you remember them.
We will pick a winner Monday.

Unfinished Business

I have so much unfinished business
when it comes to my home.
Walls that are bare.
Corners that need to be cleaned out.
(my picture corner is a nightmare. they are falling off the shelf)
I for sure need to sit down an organize my photos.
Put them in year order and get to it!!!

Projects that I dream of doing but just don't have enough
patience to get them done.
But, deep down, I really want to.
I just get so side tracked most of the time.

And with so many wonderful blogs, with so many fantastic ideas,
the desire just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Well, yesterday I stopped by a rummage sale.
Looking for old frames.
For this wall.

and yes, i scored. got these babies for .50 cents.
the 3 larger ones for a $1.00

got home, got a better chance to look at them
and noticed this on the back of one of the small frames.

1903, really. how amazing is that.
I love personal notes.
Just a little note to tell me where this came from and when.
Pretty cool.

And having no patience, I just wanted to put them on the wall.
But.
I stopped my normal behavior and made templates.
And yes, did I get side tracked during this process
and throw the templates in the trash, thinking they were
part of the left over scraps.
maybe.

i placed them on the wall.

 not perfect.
But nothing is in this house.

So, stayed tuned.
It's something I'd like to get done this weekend.
I wasn't sure wether to leave them original or paint them.
First, I'll put them up untouched. If I don't like it.
I'll change it.

Also, a few things new at
sosobella designs

for girls.

i love the antique, vintage feel of it.
and it's on sale this weekend.
go grab one
it'll make a great holiday gift.

Welp, Halloween is over, bring on the next HoLiDaY

holy moly
what a busy month.
happy its over ready to move on
we went shopping yesterday and in the clothing store
you'll never guess what was playing....
yep, christmas music
and ya know what i liked it.
it happened to be one of my favorite songs,
so that probably helped
but, i liked it. a lot.

here is a recap of our halloween
carved pumpkins.
trick or treating
saw great friends
how to train a dragon played
kids from the neighborhood gathered
i loved it
was a little tired this morning
one kid made it to school
the other didn't
and thats ok.
it was fun to hang out with her.
i took one look at her,
looked at her hands and realized...
she's growing up.
so while she sat on my bed and sorted her candy
i giggled and smiled
completely in love with the moment.

here are some shots of our last 2 days.

pumpkin carving.
not for me. i don't have enough patience.
by the time i've cut open the top and scooped
all the insides out, i'm done.
time to move on to something else.
so, it's a good thing papa and daddy are ready and willing.

 everyone loved this pumpkin.
i must say it was pretty cute!

the outside was ready for some friends and family.
we do it every year. just this year was a little bit of a bummer
cause it was a sunday night. but we still had fun.

my 2 little stinkers

our little family.

this one stayed home with me today.
i didn't mind one bit.

overall, it was a great night.
homemade costumes.
good company.
good weather.
good memories.
what more could a girl ask for.
