In our neighborhood, at night, these little guys

are everywhere. 

Yep skunks. 

We've had them in our backyard more then once. 

They are cute from far away.

But boy when they spray,they are not so cute!

but these little guys. they can come in my backyard any time.

they come together last minute, cuz that's how i roll. 

the girls loved them and they were comfy. 

we are getting ready to hang together tonight. 

trick or treat.

friends. 

and it's a school night.

One Night a Month

Fancy dresses. 

White gloves. 

Suits and ties. 

Dancing. 

Cookies and punch. 

Cotillion.

So fun. 

So cute. 

I never did it. I didn't even know about it. 

She loves it. Smiles from ear to ear. 

It's so formal. 

It's so honest. 

I love to watch her. 
I love to sit with the other Mom's (and grandparents) and giggle and smile.
Our hearts are truly filled with joy from our kids.

mean while little sister watching with me, 
all the cuteness going on in the room. 

Thinking to herself, I never want to do this. 

Then a sweet Mom from one of the little boys in her class asked

her if she wanted a shirley temple.

It was so cute!

She was tickled pink that they asked her.

and of course she said yes.

So there she sat watching, with her shirley temple

in hand. 
What a great night.

It's Raining

Although I love rain boots, I tend not to wear them. 

They usually come up to the knee, and well that

would leave very little part of my leg left. 

Yes, I have short legs.

So. 

For me. 

Not a good look. 

But there sure are some cute ones out there.

I'll never forget it when Denzel Washington said that on Oprah.

It's what he told his kids when they had homework or chores.

I loved it!!! 

So, when we get home from school that's what we do. 

HoMeWoRk

It's better for us to start right away.

My kids are starving when they get home.

So first they grab a snack.

Then.

We get to work.

They know the routine the minute they walk in the door. 

It's so nice to have Daddy around to help us.

I'm telling you, they are starving when they come home.

1st grader. God I love her!

3rd Grader.

smart. 

and easily distracted, just like her mamma.

she kills me, i swear.

funny. silly. serious. 

whatever it is, i love it.

I know someday it won't be like this. 

All of us together on the floor working. 

Helping each other. Laughing as we do our chunk words.

Before I know it they will probably be working

at their desk, or on their bed, on a lap top, 

totally engaged with what they are doing. 

Studying. Working. 

So for now. 

I'll soak it in. 

Take some pictures of what elementary school was like. 

Remember this time. 

This moment. 

A Girl Who Loves Her Dog(s)

We are an animal loving family around here. 

Dogs, we have 2 of the best. 

1 cat. We sent one to heaven last year. 

and 2 fish. 

I took a few pictures of my girl and her dog. 

She has a little bit of the dog whisper in her. 

It's that kind, sweet heart of hers. 

 Just found out she needs glasses. I can't wait for her to put them on and see that things have beginnings and ends. 

Utah. She is a sweet dog. 

8 years old. my girl. oh how i adore her.
