great finds

home goods is one of my favorite stores. sometimes i like taking my time with a coffee and a friend, other times i just go in, walk around, see what's new and i'm out. i tend to find more when i am in and out. 

these are my 2 favorite finds at my last visit with my mom. a great chair for my daughters room and 2 fabulous, huge, framed bulletin boards. what have you found?

Change is good

sometimes it's great! and thats what it is for me. i am so excited for sosobella designs. i have a new rep in LA and i am so excited. she is really nice, i just love nice people, don't you? sophia and i drove to the mart today to drop of samples. i wasn't to sure of the traffic but in all honesty it wasn't that bad. when we arrived home i thanked sophia for going with me, being my business partner, she replied "i love LA mom, i think its so pretty" what a great kid, huh. she often hears me talk about all the lovely old buildings downtown. the detail on them is wonderful.

9 Times out Of 10

yes, 9 times out of 10 when my girls get home from school they play, play, play. so today was no different. i was working when i realized i had wanted to watch oprah. she was having makeovers with nate on. i love to see people receive when they totally deserve it. makes me happy, often brings tears to my eyes. anyway, i saw them playing on the table in the front room. here was the short but oh so sweet convo:

me "hey guys i am going to turn oprah on for a minute"

sophia "sure mom, thats fine, we love oprah"

it was so great to hear my 4 year old give me the approval. 

chakita banita

not sure what the name of this costume is called but thats what we call it. sophia saw this last week at the store and has been talking about it ever since. so we went out this morning and got it. i think she looks pretty cute in it, don't you?

awh, its monday already

hope you had a great weekend. we had a very busy weekend. not a lot of rest which left us a little cranky and not so patient. i have to remember my little kiddos need rest and sleep, as well as mom and dad. here are some pictures of our weekend. isabella had a great outdoor jammies/movies party. it was great!

its not a date

isabella had a birthday party to go to last night so chris (daddy) thought it would be great to take sophia out to dinner and shopping. grandma had giving the girls $20 when school started to go shopping for whatever they wanted. on the way to school yesterday, this was our conversation. 

me "sophia, are you going on a date with daddy tomorrow night"

sophia "no"

me "what do you mean no, you and daddy are going to dinner, thats a date"

sophia "its not a date"

me  "you can go on a date with your daddy"

sophia "no, you only go on dates when you are married!"

i love the way there little minds work. she truly thought that you only go on a date when you are married. so funny. 

they had a great time. they went to dinner and shopping. isabella had a blast at the birthday party. it was a great night.

first day of school, first day of school

great kid, great morning, great class, its going to be a great year. hope your first day was great too!

last day of summer break for us

what a great day we had. sophia played hookie today and we had good times. we went to ruby's for lunch with great friends. we had golden spoons for dessert. we came home and went swimming. got flowers delivered, daddy had them sent, that was fun :O) came in to relax, had a great dinner together and now we are ending the day getting ready for a good night sleep.  oh, and we found a ladybug on one of mommy's flip flops in the house, that was cool. what a wonderful day.  

thought i would share an idea, which i am sure most of you already know and do. i made a baggie of little notes to throw in isabella's lunch box. they are already done so it makes it easy and fun.

Lets Give Something

its the beginning of a busy time for a lot of us. school is started, before we know it halloween will be here, then thanksgiving and then christmas. holy moly, time really does fly. 

so lets give something away. i recently made these for my girls and they LOVE them. lets give one to your kiddo. boy or girl. you can put there name on the tag...whatever you'd like. they will be available in brown too. 

i have a few goals for this fall. i'd love to exercise more and i'd love to get organized, notice i didn't say, i'd love to get more organized, ya thats cuz i have no organization skills what so ever :O)

oh my, its just the beginning

the school year. its crazy isn't it. our summer was just fantastic. i hope yours was too. today was a big day for sophia, well actually probably more for me then her. she started preschool today as a graduate. its her last year. and i can remember her first foot steps in that school. it seems like yesterday. i am so proud of her. she had a great day and was happy to see all of us pick her up. Mom, Dad and Isabella we waiting to give her a great big hug.
