Long Time Friends

isn't it nice to have friends from high school

ones that you may not have seen for awhile

but when you do its like you just seem them yesterday

i hadn't met the entire family

so it was nice

the kids were darling

barely said a word

so willing to do whatever i asked

so sweet

Let the Rain come Down

Yep

it's rained

a lot

grateful for a change in weather

worried about the homes & people who are in danger

seems to be letting up as i type

maybe a little sunshine today

hers a little randomness going on around here

honestly we have the best dogs

we have two, here is one

their sisters

they are mellow

they are big but gentle

this is what they have been doing lately

hanging out inside

where its warm and dry

been enjoying conversation with this one

she was describing a lady

i wasn't sure who she was talking about

so to give me more of a visual she said

"you know, she had a skirt on like a dog shower"

and talking about the weather, some how mother nature came up

she asked who mother nature was

i wasn't really sure how to describe her so i explained

that when God looks over us, he also looks over our weather

her response

"then i think we should call him father nature"

oh how i love that kid

its going to be

2009 was super

awhile ago my friend nancy blogged about "her word"

with much thought put into it, i have found "my word"

it is

focus

in my life i tend to jump from one thing to another

moving on quickly

there are some things i do focus on

being a mother, love it

being a wife, got a great hubby

my family

friends

but for me, me.

i rarely focus on one thing

i am a dreamer.

a huge dreamer.

and i like that

but this year i am going to allow myself to focus.

focus on one dream

focus on one thing

focus on what is missing

even on the little things

like packing to go on a trip

focusing enough to pack in outfits so that when

i get there i don't need to go to the store and buy what i didn't back

its not going to be easy

i already know this

its just not my personality to stay focused

but i am going to try

going to make a vision board today

going to remind myself daily to

FOCUS
