5 Minute Valentines Day Banner

here is how i did it

2 pieces of 8 x 11 1/2 cardstock

cut in fourths

flowers cut out by cricut (takes maybe a minute)

glue flowers on to rectangle squares

apply letter stickers

punch 2 holes in each rectangle

string ribbon, tulle, bakers twine......

and whala

you have yourself a fun little banner

i just walk around feeling like i am about to

it's that time of year again

time to load the girls up in the car

go somewhere and take some pictures

i love this season, this time of year

it seems to come and go so quickly that

i try to enjoy and get the most out of it i can

so, for me

one kid was warm the whole time

some have never been worn

Girl You're Amazing Just the Way You Are

yesterday when she got home from school she told me

she was going to go out back and not

to let her sister come out there. she was going to write a letter to her

minutes later she came back in and handed her sister a note

the first few lines read

I would like to thank you for being a wonderful sister.

I think you are funny and cute. You help me when I need it and always

make me laugh when i ask.

it went on a little more and included a bubble map on the back with words

describing her

i am so incredibly grateful they were chosen to be sisters

not having any myself, i am grateful that they have each other

and after loosing 4 babies, it's pretty amazing that these 2 were chosen

Night Time Around Here

Bat Garland - EasyPeasy - Weekend Craft

i love to create

and this one is a no brainer

but incase you need a little guidance

i hope this helps

we started with martha stewarts bat template

we traced our pattern onto black card stock over and over

and cut. and cut. and cut.

keep in mind, it doesn't have to be perfect

some of our bats have cropped ears :)

no craft around here is perfect

for us, that is the beauty of it

after cutting lots and lots of bats out

we took our old school elmers glue

and polka dotted amd striped em' with silver/purple glitter

at first i tried taping them to the jute but they were to heavy

and kept flopping over

so we got a hole punch

punched a hole in the top of the bat

and tied them to the jute/ribbon

with come curly ribbon

super easy.

it added some color too

and because we have so much ribbon in this house

i decided to add different ribbons to it

by just tying them onto the jute in knots

now it's not done

we will be adding more ribbon

but i wanted to give you the heads up

so you can gather your supplies

and have some fun cutting and creating this project together

and that's not all

what til' the girls get home from school each day

they'll be finding bats all over

the house

this was a much need change

it feels good to walk in here

we took down the chandelier (very sad)

and hung a ceiling fan, without a light

so for light in here my hubby hung sparkley fairy lights around the ceiling edge

it's just dreamy

and we added these 2 flower lights from ikea

we had them in the garage

pulled them out and they look great!!!

we took some pictures today

we have some frames to fill

First Day of School 2011

Last Day of Summer

welp, today was the last day of summer for us

kids are tucked in tightly

sleeping til morning light

ready to go to school tomorrow

i have to say we had a wonderful summer

we nurtured friendships

we took walks

we held each other tight

we spent days in the sun

we loved each other

we stayed up late

we slept in late

we watched movies together

we took road trips

we discovered new places

new beaches

new land

we visited family

we laughed

we took naps

we tried new things

we stayed close to home

we played games

and of course we ended it with our annual

summer movie night

sprinkled with chocolate yummies

we watched RIO

it was great

perfect way to end the summer

summer is slowly coming to an end

we are enjoying lots of time with friends

the weather is great

so great
that last week at the beach

we told the kids (8 of them)

the moms would boogie board after lunch

well sure enough

after lunch we headed to the ocean

waves and all

and when i say waves

like 6-8 foot waves

we caught a few little ones

haven't laughed that hard in ages

felt great

then i decided to go out a little further

catch even a bigger one

well. that i did

didn't quite make it

crashed and hit chin first into shallow water

yep, i hit the sand

HARD

got a slight concussion

sprained my neck

and my jaw feels out of alignment

pain.
pain.
pain.

i have no pictures yet, they are my bff's camera

here is one she sent me

i am on the right....

she sent it small so it's hard to see

but what i can tell you is

that i practically pee'd my pants walking out into the ocean

i haven't boogie boarded in years

and the first couple we caught together,

our mouths were WIDE open with laughter

so crashing was the total

kill joy

but the dr. said that i am lucky to have

landed on my chin and not my head

could have been a lot worse

i am on my way to recovery
going to the dr. again tomorrow

it seems to be a busy time for sosobella

having fun creating new goodies

our girls dance

and this time so did their dad

they had their annual dance recital this past weekend

and yes, our studio had a daddy/daughter dance
and yes their daddy got his groove on
it was a michael jackson medley
the dads got 8 8 counts on their own
then their daughters RAN out to join them and dance

i can't even begin to share with

you the joy that was shared between all who watched

the girls were so excited to dance with their dads

the dads danced and counted out loud along with the music

5.6.7.8.

it was so dang sweet that the first time i watched it

i felt like i had had a great massage or had had a really good drink

it left my body weak and happy all at the same time

i laughed, hoot and hollered

it was the best

right before they went on

the girls got a kick out of that

just looking at this gives me the giggles

so incredibly proud of this guy

aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas, grandpas

they all came to watch

so happy to have family who love them

my girls were in awh of this little guy

who wouldn't be, right

he is such a cutie pie

we had a great weekend
i worked back stage both nights
had so much fun with the other moms
got to sneak out and see my girls numbers
so fun
so happy they have the dance teachers they have
they are great roll models
and they love my girls

Camp Cre8 is in Full Swing

camp cre8 started yesterday

10 girls in the am class

and 9 girls in the pm class

all wonderful

all excited to be here

we created mobiles with my group

they turned out fabulous

they painted their rainbow canvas's with nancy

each look different

each look GREAT

looking forward to today

A little Vacay - Good Times for Sure

we had a lot of fun

on our little vacation

*we stayed by the ocean

*visited the best zoo

*flew a kite

*went on a short bike rides

*visited main street in town
*visited antique stores
*learned card tricks and performed
*played games

had family with us

it was good.
